The European public procurement market recorded 293,321 tenders across 17 countries in the 2026 year-to-date period, involving 44,606 unique buyers and 28,013 unique suppliers active in 45 sectors. These notices produced 62,049 awards with a combined value of at least 35,945,918,219 EUR, establishing a lower-bound measure of realised spend. Activity therefore spans a broad base of buyers and suppliers yet remains anchored in a modest number of sectors. United Kingdom tenders reached 60,863 and Polish tenders reached 56,273, together accounting for more than two-fifths of the total, while Construction work alone generated 60,925 notices. The next three sectors—Medical equipment & pharmaceuticals, Architecture, engineering & inspection, and Business services: law, marketing, consulting—each exceeded 18,000 notices, confirming that volume concentrates sharply in a handful of markets and service categories.
